intro.

Bonjour! I'm the "alex" of alysia & alex. Alysia and I are two sisters, coming together to create a pointless blog about our ordinary lives. Alysia will probably have the most interesting entries because she's the better writer of both of us. I always use "like" and misspell things and post without reading them- then am mortified once I see that my errors have been put out there for all the world to judge. Am I self-conscious? No. Not at all. lie.

I guess this is the part where I tell you all about myself. There isn't much to me. I'm the oldest out of my sister and I. We have no other siblings. Our parents have been happily married for 28 years. I am married to a woman named Faith. She calls us "wholesome lesbians"... whatever that means. We've been married for about a year and a half. We "uhauled" it on like the second date (there goes the "like" thing again), and got hitched in California in August of '08, when gay marriage was legal for a brief moment in history. Faith and the rest of my family are my world, along with our chihuahua/pug mix, Rosie, who's kind of a pain in the ass. I recently started going to an Episcopal church, which I'm actually enjoying. I didn't ever think I'd find myself going to Sunday services and Bible studies, but it just worked out that way, I guess. It makes me happy though. I work for a durable medical equipment provider, and help oxygen patient's for a living. Growing up, I always thought I had to "be" something, like I should be a painter or be a photographer. I didn't think that I would be a customer service representative. It may sound like I've just settled, but I actually like where I am at in my career. I love the company I work for, because they have a lot of integrity, and I get to help people on a daily basis. It may not be as fancy as being a lawer or a fashion editor, but it works for me and makes me happy.

Well that's me in a nutshell. I hope it wasn't too boring.

Until next time...

-Alex
